RE: ‘Various Unsolved Murders Put London on the Edge… of a Knife!’

dssallydonovan:

The recent article posted in the Evening Standard is nothing more than sensational journalism, full of overblown exaggerations and needless conjecture that everyone is at risk of being attacked by their next door neighbour or the milkman.

The recent trio of murders that have been discovered so far do not mean that the city of London is under siege. To say such a thing, like The Evening Standard, is frankly ridiculous. While the city is advised to adhere to the general precautions it usually takes, we suggest no further procedures at this time. We currently have several leads on the case that will be investigated fully.

This is the Yard’s official statement and may be used in further publication so long as it is not modified, misquoted, edited, or changed in any way.

For further details, please address comments/questions/concerns to Detective Sergeant Sally Donovan, Scotland Yard.

Goodness me! Have you boys seen this? :(

John and Greg

I do hope you two are feeling better! It’s almost more than a landlady can bear. I’ll pop round with some soup once you’re more settled.

Congratulations!

Congratulations to my two boys! You’ve become part of my family, it feels like, our I’ve become part of yours. It really was a lovely ceremony and I’m so grateful you shared it with all of us.

:(

There certainly was an awful lot of shouting last night. :( Boys, you’ve left me to an empty house! Now I’ve gone and made too much tea. I shan’t be able to drink it all by myself!

Autumn

Just about to pop round to visit Mrs. Creevey down the lane. It’s getting a bit cool these days, and I’m a bit sad to see summer go… but, all things in their time, I suppose.

Speaking of, I’ve had my eyes on certain less-cheery sections of the paper lately. I suppose that’s a bad habit of its own. Bit sad, though, seeing so many names I know creeping in.

On that note, best go for that walk! I think I could use the exercise. With any luck John won’t mind terribly that I’m taking Gladstone with me.

I insist, Mrs. Hudson. It is hardly a burden.

You silly thing. That’s not the point. We’ve made arrangements, so it is quite all right.

Good day, Mrs. Hudson, I hope you are doing well. It occurred to me today that, between John's recent injury and Sherlock's sparse cases, they have likely had considerable trouble making ends meet, not that they would ever ask for help. While I am certain you would be extremely charitable, given the circumstances, I know there is only so much you can do as well. I am sending you a bit of money to cover their rent, at least until John has healed.

Mycroft, you dear boy, bite your tongue. I won’t be having any of that, though the sentiment is appreciated.

That’s quite enough!

Honestly! No, nono! I’ve had just about enough of this lollygagging about going to pubs and who’s doing this, and what’s happening to whom! If you boys can’t take care of yourselves, I’m taking the lot of you to talk to Mrs. Archer’s for that safety training course she keeps prattling on about. I’ll not have you all continuously showing up with new bruises and bumps and lesions and such! And that is the end of the matter!

Going to St. Bart’s

Hello out there, all you bloggers. (That is a funny word, isn’t it? “Bloggers”. But that’s what John says it is.)

I’m off to visit Sherlock in a few minutes time with some homemade broth. It’s bound to be much better than the hospital’s fare. With any luck it’ll perk him up and he’ll be back on his feet in no time (though I’m sure perhaps before he ought to be).

Be a good boy and sit tight, Sherlock. I’ll be round soon.

Mrs. Hudson would you mind terribly looking after Gladstone for a day or two? I'm getting Sherlock admitted to Bart's today and leaving to Harry's a bit later tonight.

Oh dear!

Of course, John. Absolutely. I’ll come round to Bart’s a bit later in the evening to check up on him.
